The Treatment

BioRePeelCl3 at The Essence includes dermaplaning- or microdermabrasion depending on the skin types and concern- a repairing 111Skin Biocellulose Mask do deeply nourish and heal the skin along with LED Red Light Therapy and finishing product application.

In cases of deep melasma or post-acne atrophic scarring, BioRePeel can be combined with superficial microneedling for a deeper penetration of ingredients. Please advise your skin expert if you are interested in adding microneedling to your treatments.

A series of 3-6 sessions, spaces 7-10 days apart is suggested for optimal results depending on the case.

 

What To Expect

Some people may experience slight dryness and peeling depending on their skin type, the number of treatments performed and specific concerns. In most cases there will be no visible down-time- no redness, or peeling- but that doesn’t mean that BioRePeel is not working as effectively as a chemical peel. Please treat your skin with extra care after your treatment by following the steps listed above. If you have any questions or concerns about your downtime please contact your aesthetician.

Pre-Peel Instructions

• Avoid any exfoliating agents for 48 hours prior to your appointment.
• Avoid AHAs, BHAs, retinols, and self-tanning for 7 days prior to your appointment.
• Avoid any waxing, laser hair removal, or hair bleaching for 14 days prior to your appointment.
• Avoid UV or sun exposure for 14 days prior to your appointment.

Post-Peel Instructions

• Avoid makeup application if possible for 24-48 hours following your appointment
• Avoid AHAs, BHAs, and retinols for 14 days following your appointment.
• Avoid waxing, hair removal, or hair bleaching for 14 days following to your appointment.
• Avoid swimming and steam saunas for 14 days following your appointment.
• Avoid sunbeds, tanning, or self-tanning for 14 days following your appointment.
• Keep the skin hydrated with a gentle moisturizer. 
• After the treatment, it is utmost important to wear a high broad spectrum SPF cream to protect your skin from sun damage and maintain best results.

Contraindications

Do not book a BioRePeel if:

• You’re pregnant or breastfeeding
• You are on Accutane / Isotretinoin Medication (current use or use within the last 6 months)
• Recent facial injections, threads, and Botox / Dysport within 2 weeks
• Prolonged sun exposure for the last 2 weeks
